The art of the catch since 1997
Fishing isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life. It’s early mornings chasing the tide, late nights waiting on a bite, and those secret spots you only share with your closest crew. Fish Smith Co. was born from that life. Sunburned, waterlogged, and proud of it.
Brothers Elliott and Mado Smith grew up between the docks of Edisto Island and the beaches of Florida’s east coast, casting lines, sketching fish, and living by the water. They started turning those sketches into T-shirts before they were old enough to drive. What began as a back-porch passion quickly evolved into a signature coastal style: bold lines, vivid color, and designs that tell a story.
You know a Fish Smith print when you see it. It’s clean. It’s sharp, and it comes from the hands of artists who’ve lived every tide and swell. Their style was shaped by spearguns and surfboards, slow rolls through the flats, and endless days fishing Mosquito Lagoon and diving the Keys.
At 14, Elliott was selling shirts at the Edisto Marina, Fish Smith’s first true home. Over the years, the brand became a quiet badge of those who knew the coast best, especially through the family’s work running the SC Governor’s Cup Billfishing Tournament out of Edisto, where everyone pitched in from PR to paint.
As life took the brothers to new horizons, the brand took a breath. But the story didn’t end there.
Thanks to long-time family friend and fisherman Brad White, and outdoor apparel veteran Jeff Walsh, Fish Smith Co. is back stronger than ever. The same art. The same grit. A sharper vision for those who live for the next cast, the next tide, and the next story worth telling.
Whether you’re stalking reds in the shallows, chasing marlin offshore, or pulling bass from a creek that doesn’t show up on any map, we’ve got the apparel to go with you.
New designs drop often, because good water and good stories never run dry.
Welcome to Fish Smith Co.
